Announcing the official launch of my new book Who Are You in the Tarot? at BATS and with a web seminar (webinar), “Working with Your Tarot Birth and Year Cards,” on September 6, 2011, 6pm – 6.45pm USA Pacific time through Global Spiritual Studies.
So, you’ve calculated your Birth and Year Cards (I’ll show you how if you don’t know), but what are you going to do with them next? In this session, Mary K. Greer shows you how to take these archetypal forms further, to see how you can work with them in your own life and with a querent. Discover the wisdom of your Year Cards and what Destiny calls to you from your Soul Card. Make these cards come alive in your own life! Learn how to learn from them in ways unique to you. Explore the nine Constellations and the three Soul Groups that are at the heart of this system and are key to your relationship dynamics.
Information on this live webinar is available here. Join us live so you can ask questions and take part in the discussion. For the time in other zones, check the website.
Click on the link to visit the book’s Facebook page and “like” us, then let us know what your Birth Cards are.
Get a signed first edition hot off the press and unavailable yet in bookstores, at the San Francisco Bay Area Tarot Symposium (BATS) on August 27-28 (see EVENTS).

Dear Mary
Congratulations! I had no idea that you are working on the new book… I would love to help you in the process of preparing the next book to be printed 🙂
My best regards, Joanna

I am so thrilled with this, Mary! As you may know, I love, love, love this aspect of the Tarot and have been working with the Tarot Constellations for many years. I can’t wait to see the updates!
Hopefully this might include some updated examples of constellations of the pop culture famous. I have spent ridiculous amounts of time trying to find alternatives to some of the older book’s famous people of the 80s.
And of course when it was written, the all-too-brief “Age of the High Priestess” was underway. I wonder if you have found some adults who exemplify what that window in time might have produced.
Oh how I wish I was going to BATS to toast the arrival of this new offering!
Thank you, Mary!

Beth,
I only included the most iconic of pop culture, primarily because in 30 years (if my book is still in-print), I don’t want people to be saying – who is that? I mean will young people 30 years from now know who Britney Spears was? We’ll have to wait and see.
I was able to correct many birthdates often because the information that was current when I wrote the book turned out to be false. We’re lucky now, because we can easily look up birthdate and bio information on almost anyone, as well as writings and song lyrics, etc. However, we still have the problem that celebrities often have a manufactured public image that can be totally at odds with their inner motivations and true goals—which is what Birth Cards are all about.
I didn’t find too many public single High Priestesses (birthdates that add up to 2000)—why should we be surprised at that? I have, however, run into quite a few privately. The ones I’ve met are often very sensitive souls, several of whom seemed like they were really going places when very young, but had trouble fitting in when older. A few have had lives that seemed to fall apart later. I’d love to hear from those who know single 2s.

Joanna –
Thanks for the offer. I know you do great work. RedWheel/Weiser took care of the book production.

Mary – this is so fascinating, especially about the single 2s as they get older.
I will look through my database I’ve been keeping of my contacts’ birthdays (for about 5 years, I had a Tarot Birthday Club!) and see if I can find some single 2s. I haven’t had many, either, but now I am very curious to see how they are doing.

Congratulations! As I look around me here in my office at home, I see Tarot Reversals lying open to Temperance Rx just to the left of me, one of 3 copies of Tarot for Your Self at my feet, and what is easily over a foot of MKG titles on the shelves against the wall. But most importantly, you have, through your ideas, woven your energy into mine. When people ask me what my favorite Tarot book is, I always say, “Mary Kay Greer’s next one!”

I’m fascinated by birth cards and I’m looking forward to working with your book. Having read the responses here I’m also a little nervous because, if my calculation is correct, I’m a single 2 (birth date 24th October 1966) 🙂

Sharon –
Yes you are a Single 2 (2000), and you are in an 11 Year (which I consider to be Justice). 1+1=2, so you are in a Shadow/Teacher Year, which is always a significant learning point in your Year Card cycle.
It would be great if you could share with us how you feel the High Priestess works for you as a Personality & Soul Card.

I never realised just how complexed the Tarot really is. Hopefully one day I’ll master it.
